O camel-mind, the one who trusts the teacher lives by the teaching and works in the world with love. So offer your whole heart to the teacher, hands folded, and — Nanak says — the teacher will join you to the One.
The close. Man karhalaa gur mani-aa — the mind that manai (accepts, aligns with — not mere belief) the teacher becomes gurmukh and kaar kamaay, does the work of life lovingly and well: inner alignment flowering into outward action. Gur aagai kar jodrhee — "with folded hands before the teacher," the posture of humble offering. And the promise that has sounded all along seals it: har maylaa-ay — "the One will be met." The camel-mind, coaxed home through eleven tender calls, is joined at last. The signature (||10||1||) closes the Karhalay.
What does it mean to offer something with your "whole heart, hands folded" — to fully trust it?
