In plain words

This One loosened the tight cords of grasping and worry that were wrapped around me.

The One simply made me the One's own. One glance full of kindness, and I felt whole.

One glance of kindness can loosen the worries wrapped tight around your heart.
The deeper layer

One glance of kindness can loosen the worries wrapped tight around your heart.

Maa-i-aa silak kaatee gopaal — the Keeper of the world cut away the noose of Maya. Maa-i-aa, or Maya, is the tangle of grabbing and holding on to things that pass. It can wrap around us like tight cords. Gopaal means the Keeper of the world.

Kar apunaa leeno nadar nihaal — He made me His own, and His glance made me whole. Nadar means a look of grace. Nihaal means full of joy.

Grace here is one kind look that frees you and makes you whole. Being set free and belonging happen in the same moment. It is like a lost child spotting a parent's face in the crowd. The fear lets go, and the child is home.

A Question to Sit With

When has a single kind look from someone made you feel instantly better?
