In plain words

Keep in mind, O my mind, the Supreme One, who holds all power gently in hand.

Full of compassion, strong and able, the One lives in every heart, the support of every breath.

Giver of breath, of mind, of body, of life itself — endless, beyond reach, beyond measure.

Powerful enough to shelter anyone, the Enchanter of the heart clears away every sorrow. Aches and heaviness and troubles all fade when the Name of the One is held close. Please be kind to me, mighty One, holder of all power.

The One who holds all the power of the universe is also the One living gently inside every heartbeat.
The deeper layer

The One who holds all the power in the universe is also the gentle One inside every heartbeat.

Karunaa mai means made of compassion. Ghat ghat paraan aDhaaree — the support of the breath in every single heart. So the One is close, not distant. The all-powerful One, samrath, is also the One living inside you, giving you each breath. Think of the strongest person you know picking up a baby very gently.

Rog sog sabh dokh binsahi — all illness, sorrow and trouble fade. This is a wide and gentle comfort. It does not say hardship never comes. It says remembering loosens its grip on the heart.

Saran jog means worthy to be a refuge. It keeps the whole song's tone. The One is a shelter you run to, never something to fear.

A Question to Sit With

Does it change anything to imagine that the biggest power there is might also be the gentlest?
