In plain words

Your sorrows begin to lift when your heart deals in the Name — when remembering the One becomes the coin your life trades in.

A heart turned away and caught in “me and mine” stays heavy and sad, split by loving two things at once. But listen: in the Sangat, the sweet, healing words wash old regrets and mistakes away.

Nanak says: even the hot tangles of the heart — wanting, and anger, and the wish to hurt — quietly loosen and fall, for anyone touched by the mercy of the One.

Sorrow lifts and the heart’s hot tangles loosen through the healing words of the Sangat and the mercy of the One.
The deeper layer

Jhajha is a healing Pauri. Jhooran mitai tumaaro — "your sorrows shall depart" — when you "deal in" the Name (raam naam si-o kar bi-uhaaro): remembering becomes the currency of daily life. The saakat is a heart in a heavy state — a heart turned away... stays heavy and sad, split by loving two things at once. The gift, listed plainly: kaam krodh and darustaa-ee (desire, anger, the wish to harm) jhareh — brushed away — through amrit kathaa heard in satsang, the Sangat, and through mercy. A tender promise: sorrow and the "hot tangles" of the heart loosen and fall away in the Sangat and in grace.

A Question to Sit With

When you’ve felt tangled up with a hard feeling, what kind of company or words helped it loosen?
