Do not hold hatred against anyone — not a single person. Why? Because the same One lives inside every heart there is, filling the oceans and the land and every living thing. Once you see that, the person you wanted to hate is carrying the very same Oneness you are.
When you turn toward the Guru and listen with love to the songs that praise the One, the walls of anger and division inside you quietly come down. And Nanak says: the heart that turns toward the Guru and sings the Naam rises above every label the world uses to sort people — where you come from, what group you belong to. None of that decides your worth. The Oneness inside you does.
Hold hatred against no one, because the same One lives in every heart.
The Wawwa Pauri is one of the great verses against hatred and caste. Vair na karee-ai kaahoo — hold hatred against no one — rests on ghat ghat antar barahm samaahoo, the One within every heart. Hearing kirtan (har keertan... suntay) gently dissolves vair virodh, hatred and division. The climactic line varan chihan saglah tay rahtaa — rising above all varan (caste) and chihan (marks of status) — is a charter of equal worth for every person: labels of birth and rank never decide worth.
Have you ever noticed a wall of dislike inside you soften once you saw the person on the other side?
