Join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and vibrate, meditate on Him, O my friend. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Here is the line to hold onto through the whole song: sing the praises of the One who keeps the universe, every single day.

And don't do it alone — sit with good people, the ones who love the truth, and let your heart join theirs, my friend.

Turn toward the One every day, and do it in good company — that is the heart of the whole song.
The deeper layer

This short verse is the Rahaao — the "pause," the refrain that holds the central idea of the whole composition. Everything else circles back to these two lines. Two practices are named: neet ("daily," "every day") — steadiness rather than special occasions — and saadhsang, the company of those seeking truth together. The Rahaao placement matters: no matter which lunar day the poem is describing, this is the note it always returns to. Grace-not-calendar, and never alone.

A Question to Sit With

Who are the people that make you want to be your best, truest self?
