In plain words

When you let the teaching guide you and sing what is beautiful about the One, you win the gentlest kind of victory — the mind stops fighting itself.

And through the kindness of good-hearted people, fear melts and worry comes to an end.

The only victory worth winning is the mind at peace with itself — and it comes through the teaching and good company, not force.
The deeper layer

A Shalok on the only conquest worth making. Aatam jeetaa gurmatee — "the self is won through the teaching" — is not the ego crushing something; it's the mind finally at peace with itself, "the gentlest kind of victory." The source's bhai mitay... binsee chind — "fear dispelled, anxiety ended" — is the emotional promise, and it arrives sant parsaadee, "by the grace of the good-hearted": again, freedom comes through others and through grace, not through solitary force of will. Placed near the close of this batch's arc, it distills the whole lunar-day journey into one quiet result: guided by the teaching and warmed by good company, the inner war ends.

A Question to Sit With

What would it feel like to stop fighting yourself, even for one day?
