In plain words

This body is a home of goodness, with the light of the True One shining inside it.

Hidden within are secret jewels; rare is the one who faces the Guru and digs them out.

When someone recognizes the One living in all, they see that same One woven through everything, thread by thread.

They see the One, they trust the One, and with their ears they listen for the One alone.

Nanak says: praise the Name — this is your real service to the True One.

The body holds hidden treasure and the One is woven through all things like threads in a cloth — the work is to uncover what is already here.
The deeper layer

A radiant Pauri that reframes the body itself: not something to escape or be ashamed of, but Dharam — a "home of goodness," with the divine light already inside it. The key image is guhaj ratan — "hidden jewels" — buried treasure that a devoted seeker "digs out." The most beautiful phrase is ik ravi-aa iko ot pot — the One "woven through everything like the warp and weft of a cloth." Not the One behind creation or above it, but threaded all the way through it, so that seeing, trusting, and listening all turn toward a single presence found everywhere. The path here is not adding something new but uncovering what is already inside — and then recognizing it everywhere outside too.

A Question to Sit With

What might it change about how you treat yourself and the world to think of both as holding a hidden light already inside?
