The sparrows are chirping, dawn has broken, and the waves ripple and roll in the morning wind.
Something wonderful the truth-lovers have made here, colored through and through with the love of the Name.
One of the loveliest Shaloks in the Vaar — a sunrise painted in three quick strokes: chirhee chuhkee (sparrows chirping), pahu futee (dawn cracking open), vagan bahut tarang (many waves stirring). It is a real morning, alive and moving. Then the turn: this whole radiant scene is like the achraj roop — the "wondrous form" — that people rooted in naameh rang, the color of the Name, have made of their lives. The dawn is a metaphor for an awakened heart: everything begins to sing at once. Rang means both "color" and "love" — to be dyed in the Name is to be colored so deeply the color won't wash out.
Have you ever been awake at dawn and heard the world start up? What did that feeling remind you of inside?
