The One is the treasure of peace — I have heard it, and it never fades or ends.
It fills the water, the land, and the sky, and is spoken of as living in every single heart.
High or low, it looks on all the same — the tiny ant and the great elephant weigh equal in its sight.
Friends, companions, children, family — all of them come from the One.
When the One, in kindness, gives someone the Name, that person lives soaked in its love.
This Pauri is a clear statement of the Vaar's equality teaching. Ooch neech sabh ik samaan — "high and low are all the same" — and the vivid pairing keet hastee, the ant and the elephant, held as equals. In a world sorted by caste and rank, this is quietly radical: the One does not measure worth by size or status. The same One is jal thal mahee-al poori-aa — pervading water, land, and sky — and present ghat ghat, in every heart. Even the people we love are gifts routed through the One: sabh tis day janiaa, "all born of Him." The final line returns to grace as a gift freely given (tus... dayvai — "gives, out of pleasure"), never a wage earned.
If the same One lives in every person and every creature, how might that change the way you treat someone the world calls "unimportant"?
