Or picture a young bull, so full of restless energy that it charges around wildly. It romps and gobbles without a thought — and stumbles into trouble it never saw coming.
Lots of energy with no direction can carry you somewhere you never meant to go.
Here is another upside-down picture. Maataa bhaisaa ammuhaa jaa-ay — the wild bull runs around out of control. Kud kud charai rasaatal paa-ay — it jumps and grazes, and then falls into rasaatal, a deep pit, the lowest place.
The bull is raw power with no awareness. Think of a soccer ball kicked as hard as you can, but in no direction. It flies, but it may land in the neighbor's yard.
The fall is not a scary punishment. It is what naturally happens when no one is steering. Strength and appetite are fine things. They just need direction, or they lead us off the path.
When you have lots of energy, what helps you point it somewhere good instead of just charging around?
