Beyond Fear and Doubt Lies a Deep, Steady Joy

ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਮਨਿ ਭਇਆ ਅਨੰਦਾ ॥
kaho kabeer man bha-i-aa anandaa.
Says Kabir, my mind is filled with bliss;
ਗਇਆ ਭਰਮੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦਾ ॥੩॥੨੦॥
ga-i-aa bharam rahi-aa parmaanandaa. ||3||20||
my doubts have been eliminated, and I am in ecstasy. ||3||20||

In plain words

My heart is full of bliss now, says Kabir. My doubts have dissolved, and I rest in a deep, steady joy.

On the far side of fear and doubt lies a deep, steady joy.
The deeper layer

The close: bhaa-i-aa anandaa... parmaanandaa — bliss, and param-anand, supreme joy — once bharam (doubt/illusion) is gone. Facing the fear directly clears the doubt, and what remains is joy. This is the fruit of the whole shabad.

A Question to Sit With

What joy might be waiting on the other side of a fear you are ready to look at?
