I kept my attention gently on the pure, spotless One.
Then, says Kabir, I came upon a wonder beyond words. It was a fearless, boundless joy I could never have imagined.
This one says that keeping your attention on the pure One opens into a fearless wonder.
This is the end of the shabad, and its high point. Cheenat cheet niranjan laa-i-aa — I joined my attention to niranjan. Niranjan means the pure One, without a single stain.
What comes then is anbha-o. It is a wonder you know from the inside, beyond words. It is the wonder of the nirbhau, the Fearless One.
Think of looking through a telescope and holding it very still. At first you see only dark. Then, slowly, a sky full of stars opens up.
Steady attention on the pure One opens into fearless wonder.
