In plain words

Some people never stop to enjoy the goodness around them or to sing about what is beautiful in life.

Instead, they only find fault. They talk as if they could pull the whole sky down with their complaints — big words, but no wonder, no gratitude, no love inside them.

A heart that only finds fault never gets to taste the goodness right in front of it.
The deeper layer

Kabir paints a picture of a heart that only finds fault.

This kind of person does not listen for the good: har jas suneh na. They do not sing about it either. Instead they put all their energy into tearing things down. Baatan hee asmaan giraaveh: they try to bring down the sky with their talk.

Picture someone shouting at the sky to fall. Lots of noise, and nothing happens. That is loud negativity. This is not about any one group of people. It is a habit of the heart that any of us can slip into.

A Question to Sit With

When you catch yourself only complaining, what beautiful thing might you be missing?
