Remembering Is a Boat Already Waiting; Step In

So escape from corruption and immerse yourself in the Lord; take this advice, O crazy mind.
||1|| rahaa-o.
You have not meditated fearlessly on the Lord, O crazy mind; you have not embarked upon the Lord's Boat. ||1||Pause||

In plain words

Step clear of what would harm you, and let yourself soak in the One instead — take this to heart, restless mind.

When you remember the One, fear loosens its grip. That remembering is like climbing aboard a strong boat that carries you across deep water. The boat is right there — all you have to do is step in.

Remembering the One is a boat already waiting — step in, and fear loosens its hold.
The deeper layer

This is the Rahao — the pause-line, the heart of the shabad, the thought everything else circles back to. Nirbhai means "fearless," one of the great words of Gurbani (it appears in the Mool Mantar). Remembering the One dissolves fear because it reminds you what you are made of. The "Lord's Boat" (raam jahaaj) is a recurring image: the teaching itself is the vessel that carries you across the rough water of a distracted, craving life. Kabir's gentle nudge is not scolding — it is an invitation to step aboard.

A Question to Sit With

What helps you feel less afraid when your mind is churning?
