I am blind - I have taken the Lord as my Support. ||4||1||39||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The whole universe is yours, and you fill every bit of it. Those turned toward the teaching are blessed with true greatness. I cannot see my way -- so I have taken you as my support.

Admitting "I cannot see" is exactly what makes you reach for the One as support.
The deeper layer

The close turns to Ik Onkar -- the One pervading all -- and the Gurmukh's greatness. Ram Das's self-description as blind is the humility that is itself the doorway: admitting you cannot see is what makes you reach for the support that can lead.

A Question to Sit With

Is there strength in admitting you need help? When have you felt that?
