When the Guru, the Merciful Guru, showed just a little mercy to me, my Lord God came and met me. ||1||Pause||

O One, there is such a great longing in me to meet you. And when the teacher showed me even a little mercy, you came and met me.
A little mercy from the teacher, and the One comes to meet you.
The Rahao: the longing is answered by a little mercy from the Guru -- and the One comes to meet the soul. The meeting is initiated from the other side: you long, and the One comes.
