How rare it is to find the trader who deals in the true jewel — the Name.
That person feeds on the sweetest food there is: the living nectar of the One, taken in like daily bread.
The rarest and richest trade is in the one jewel that's actually worth having.
The rahao: naam ratan ko ko bi-uhaaree — how rare the trader who deals in the ratan (jewel) of the Name; amrit bhojan karay aahaaree — who takes the amrit (nectar) as food. The jewel-merchant becomes the through-line: the whole shabad asks how to become the rare trader who deals in the one treasure worth having. Feeding on amrit as daily food makes the Name ordinary and sustaining, not exotic.
