Don't go around labeling anyone as good or bad. Instead, set down your pride and simply hold on to the One.
Stop sorting people into good and bad. Set down your pride and hold on to the One.
Buraa bhalaa ko-ee na kaheejai — call no one bad or good. This grows straight out of Ik Onkar, the One who is all. If one Oneness shines in everyone, then sorting people into good and bad is a confusion.
This does not mean right and wrong stop mattering. It is about dropping maan, pride. Pride is the ego's habit of ranking and judging others. Think of someone at school handing out gold stars and frowny faces to everyone else. Without noticing, they have made themselves the judge over everyone.
Chhod maan har charan gaheejai — let go of pride, and hold on to the feet of the One. Humble holding-on takes the place of judging. Judging others and pride are the same illness.
What might change in a day if you tried not to sort everyone you meet into good or bad?
