In plain words

When the carefree One has come to live in your mind, no worry can ever settle in and bother you.

Hold the carefree One in your heart, and worry finds nowhere to settle.
The deeper layer

This one says: when the Carefree One lives in your mind, worry finds nowhere to settle.

Achint means free of care, untroubled. Here it is a name for the One: the Carefree One. Jaa kai achint vasai man aa-ay — when the Carefree One comes to live in the mind, then chintaa, worry, has no place at all.

This is naam simran, remembering the Name, seen from the inside. The shabad puts two things side by side: the untroubled One living in you, and a mind with no room for worry. It does not explain how one leads to the other. It simply shows them together. Think of a noisy room when a calm grown-up walks in. The noise settles, even before anyone says a word.

A Question to Sit With

Is there someone calm whose calm rubs off on you when you're around them?
