In plain words

Set down the endless clever arguments about how the universe is made.

Let go of the whole tangle, and simply hold the One in mind, again and again.

That loving remembrance is the boat that carries you across every rough water.

When the arguments get too big, the way through is small and steady: remember the One with love.
The deeper layer

Sivaa sakat sambaad is the great philosophical debate about Shiva and Shakti — consciousness and energy, the machinery of creation. Namdev does not say the questions are worthless; he says do not get lost in them. Bhav sindh, the world-ocean, is the churning, difficult sea of ordinary life; simran — loving remembrance of Gobind, the One — is what carries you across it. The shabad that began with the grandest deeds ends with the simplest: remember, with love.

A Question to Sit With

What helps you feel steady when your thoughts get loud and tangled?
