Even the Great Powers Are Held by the One

ਤੂ ਕਹੀਅਤ ਹੀ ਆਦਿ ਭਵਾਨੀ ॥

You are called the Primal Goddess.
ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕੀ ਬਰੀਆ ਕਹਾ ਛਪਾਨੀ ॥੪॥
mukat kee baree-aa kahaa chhapaanee. ||4||
At the time of liberation, where will you hide then? ||4||

In plain words

Even the greatest powers people honor are, in the end, held within something greater still.

When the moment of true freedom comes, it is the One alone who opens the door.

Every honored power is held within the One — so it is the One who finally sets you free.
The deeper layer

Namdev says that every great power people honor is held inside the One.

He speaks to aad bhavaanee, the goddess people call the first mother of all. Mukat kee baree-aa kahaa chhapaanee — when the time for freedom comes, where will you hide? Mukat means being set free. Namdev's point is that the great powers cannot give that final freedom on their own. They too rest inside the One.

Think of the rooms in a big house. Each room is real and has its own shape. But every room sits under one roof. Namdev is not insulting any goddess. He is placing every honored form inside the one Oneness. The Guru's words make this same move again and again: every god is held in the One.

A Question to Sit With

What does it mean that even the biggest things are held inside something bigger?
