ਜੀਵਤ ਮੁਕੰਦੇ ਮਰਤ ਮੁਕੰਦੇ ॥
jeevat mukanday marat mukanday.
Meditate on Mukanday in life, and meditate on Mukanday in death.

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The Liberator is with me while I live and with me when I die — never absent, at either edge.
So the one who serves that One carries a steady joy that nothing can take.
The One is with you at both edges of life — so a quiet joy can hold steady through anything.
The rahau. Jeevat mukanday marat mukanday — in living, the Liberator; in dying, the Liberator. This is not a fear of death but its dissolving: there is no moment, on either side, outside the One. Sadaa ananday — a lasting bliss — is the natural weather of a heart that knows this.
A Question to Sit With
How might it change your day to feel that nothing can ever fully separate you from what you love?
