Gond, Fourth Mehl:
The Lord, the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, is all-pervading. As the Lord causes them to act, so do they act.
so aisaa har sayv sadaa man mayray jo tuDhno sabh doo rakh la-ee-ai. ||1||
So serve forever such a Lord, O my mind, who will protect you from everything. ||1||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The One knows me from the inside out and lives in everything there is.
Whatever happens, it is the One's doing that moves through us — so I keep close the One who shields me from every trouble.
The One who knows you most deeply is the same One who shields you.
Antarjaamee — the Inner-knower, the One who reads the heart — is sabh-tai vartai, present everywhere. The line jayhaa har karaa-ay tayhaa ko kara-ee-ai echoes Hukam, the flow of existence: our actions move within a larger current. Resting in the One who protects you from everything is the settledness that follows.
A Question to Sit With
How does it feel to be known completely — and still cared for?
