O my mind, hold the One and turn toward the teaching each day.
No one but the One holds your very life in its hands — so why let worry weigh you down?
Your life is held by the One — so worry has less to stand on than it thinks.
The rahau. The stark literal — none but the One can end or sustain a life — is a way of saying your life is held by the One alone, not by any of the powers you fear. The point is not dread but relief: taa mayray man kaa-it karha-ee-ai — so why worry? Worry loosens its grip when you know Who is holding you.
A Question to Sit With
What is a worry you could hand over to something bigger than yourself?
