A Life Run by Appetite Grows Restless and Driven

jin darsan satgur sat purakh na paa-i-aa tay bhaagheen jam maaray.
Those who do not obtain the Blessed Vision of the Darshan of the True Guru, the True Primal Being, are most unfortunate; they are destroyed by the Messenger of Death.

They are like dogs, pigs and jackasses; they are cast into the womb of reincarnation, and the Lord strikes them down as the worst of murderers. ||3||

In plain words

Those who never receive the teaching's living sight are truly unlucky, worn down by time.

They live driven and unaware, tumbled again and again through the cycle — a hard, restless way to be.

A life run entirely by unaware appetite becomes restless and driven — the cure is the living sight of wisdom.
The deeper layer

The dark mirror, and it must be handled with care. The literal names "dogs, pigs and jackasses" and the "worst of murderers" — imagery this project consistently softens. The teaching underneath is not that some souls are vermin but that a life lived wholly "driven and unaware," cut off from wisdom, becomes restless and animal-like in its compulsions — tossed around by its own appetites. The remedy is the darshan, the living sight of the teaching, offered freely in P0–P2. Read as a description of a hard state, not a slur on any person.

A Question to Sit With

When have you felt 'driven' by an appetite rather than choosing freely? What helped you settle?
