Devotion Gathers the Scattered Self in One Direction

In plain words

Master, without You there is simply no one else at all.

In my mind I stay aware of You; my tongue worships You, my eyes gaze on You.

Devotion can gather the whole scattered self — mind, tongue, and eyes — and turn it, at last, in one direction.
The deeper layer

The Pause line gathers the whole person into devotion — mind, tongue, eyes all turned to the One. This is integration: not a compartment of life reserved for the sacred, but the entire self aligned, aware and worshipping and gazing at once. "Without You, there is no other at all" is the non-dual ground beneath it — there is no rival object to divide the self, so the self can be whole, gathered, single. Devotion here heals the scatteredness of a divided attention.

A Question to Sit With

What would change if your mind, your words, and your gaze were all pointed the same way for once?
