The bride may be hunch-backed and short, but if she is loved by her Lord Master, she becomes beautiful, and she melts in the Lord's embrace. ||1||

In plain words

I keep the words of my Beloved close in my heart — that is the best way.

A bride may be hunched and small, but if her Beloved loves her, she becomes beautiful and melts into the embrace.

You don't have to make yourself worthy first — being loved by the One is itself what makes you beautiful.
The deeper layer

This line says that being loved by the One is what makes you beautiful.

It answers the question from the pause line. First: pari-a kay bachan sukhaanay hee-arai — I keep my Beloved's words close in my heart. That is the best way.

Then a tender picture. Laturee maDhuree thaakur bhaa-ee — the bride may be bent and small, but if her Master loves her, she becomes beautiful and melts into the embrace. Beauty here is not something you must already have. It is given by love.

Think of a worn-out teddy bear with one ear missing. To the child who loves it, it is the most beautiful thing in the house. Any ordinary person, with all their flaws, becomes lovely the moment the One loves them. You do not have to make yourself worthy first. The love itself makes you beautiful.

A Question to Sit With

What if you didn't have to become 'good enough' to be loved — what if the love itself did the beautifying?
