Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Mother, I long to see the Feet of the One.

Be merciful, Master, that I may never let them go from my mind.

The deepest prayer isn't for a thing but for constancy — to never lose the thread of remembering what you love.
The deeper layer

The Pause line is pure longing — to "see the Feet of God" and never let go. The prayer is not for a thing but for constancy of attention: "that I might never forsake them from my mind." What the devotee wants most is to keep wanting the One — to never lose the thread of remembrance.

A Question to Sit With

What do you most want to never lose your grip on?
