There are ten organs of sense and action; the ten wander unrestrained. Under the influence of the three dispositions, they are not stable, even for an instant.

Coming in contact with the True Guru, they are brought under control; then, salvation and liberation are attained. ||3||

In plain words

My ten senses run off, again and again, in every direction. Pulled by the three moods, they cannot stay still for even a moment.

When they come to know the True Guru, they settle under control. Then freedom and release are found.

Restless senses settle in the Guru's company, and freedom opens.
The deeper layer

Restless senses settle in the Guru's company, and there freedom opens.

Indree dasay: the ten senses and powers of the body, like seeing, hearing, tasting and moving. Trai gunee-aa: the three moods (the gunas) that keep the mind swinging, from busy to sluggish to calm and back again. Satgur parchai: coming to know the True Guru. Mokh mukat: release, freedom.

A Question to Sit With
