In the village of the body, the dog of greed is very strong. The Guru chases it out in an instant.
Truth, contentment and goodness come and settle there. In this village of the One, sing the praises of the One.
When greed is chased out, contentment and goodness move in.
Greed barks loudly inside you, and when the Guru drives it out, truth and contentment move in.
Su-aan lobh: the dog of greed, always hungry, always barking for more. Nagar: the village or town, here the body. Sat santokh Dharam: truth, contentment and goodness, the new neighbors. Har nagree: the body becomes the One's own village, full of song.
A Question to Sit With
What good feeling fills the space when a grabby, greedy feeling lets go?
