In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, doubt and fear are dispelled. Nanak speaks the Wisdom of God. ||2||1||4||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Wherever I look, I see the Lord, the highest Master, the first Being of all.

In the Sangat, doubt and fear are wiped away. Nanak says this, speaking the wisdom of the One.

When you can see the One everywhere, doubt and fear lose their footing.
The deeper layer

Wherever you look, the One is there, and in the Sangat doubt and fear melt away.

Jat kataa tat paykhee-ai: wherever I look, there I see the One.

SaaDhsang means the Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One. In that company, bharam bhai mitay: doubt and fear melt away. Then barahm gi-aan, the wisdom of the One, is spoken.

These are not two separate steps. Seeing the One everywhere and sitting with good people go together. It is like watching the night sky with friends who know the stars. In their company, you start to see what was there all along.

A Question to Sit With

What helps your worries settle when you are with the right people?
