ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਨਹਿ ਮੰਤ ॥੨॥
naam su-aamee maneh mant. ||2||
Your Name, O my Lord and Master, is the Mantra of the mind. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

You are the only hope of the helpless, the meek and the poor.

Your Naam, my Master, is the mantra of my mind.

The One is especially the hope of those who feel they have no one else.
The deeper layer

The One is the hope of people who have no one else.

Anaath means without a protector; deen means the meek and poor; aasvant means full of hope. Naam ... maneh mant: the Naam is the mantra of the mind, the words it keeps repeating. The One is a refuge for those the world overlooks, and every person has that same worth.

A Question to Sit With

Who reaches out to people that others overlook?
