Meeting the Holy Saint, one drinks in the Sublime Essence of the Lord; sitting in the home of your own inner being, drink in the essence. ||4||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

As the sun's rays spread out to every place, the One is present in each and every heart.

Meeting holy people, I drink in the sweet taste of the One. Sitting in the home of my own heart, I drink in that essence.

The One shines in every heart, like sunlight in every room.
The deeper layer

The One fills every heart the way sunlight fills every place, and you can taste that sweetness right inside yourself.

Ji-o sooraj kiran ravi-aa sarab thaa-ee: as the sun's rays spread everywhere. Sabh ghat ghat raam raveejai: the One is in each and every heart. Meeting holy people, ras paavai, one tastes the sweetness. And nij ghar baithi-aa peejai: sitting in your own inner home, you drink it in. The One is near, waiting to be noticed where you already are.

A Question to Sit With

Where is a quiet place inside yourself you can go to feel at home?
