They do good deeds for others, and speak of the Lord's many Glorious Virtues; please bless me to meet these Saints, these devotees of the Lord. ||7||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I have come to the shelter of holy people and joined the Sangat, and there I found the sweet essence of the One.

They do good for others and speak of the One's many beautiful qualities. Please let me meet these saints, these devotees of the One.

The best people spend themselves doing good for others.
The deeper layer

In the Sangat you taste the sweetness of the One, and the good people there spend their lives doing good for others.

Saadhoo saadh saran mil sangat: in the shelter of holy people, joining the Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One. Jit har ras kaadh kadheejai: there the sweet essence of the One is drawn out. Par-upkaar: doing good for others. Boleh baho gunee-aa: they speak of many good qualities. Mukh sant bhagat har deejai: please let me meet these saints and devotees. Goodness shows itself in service to others.

A Question to Sit With

Who do you know that quietly does good for others — and how could you be more like them?
