Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Listen, saints. Listen, humble brothers and sisters. The Guru raises both arms and calls out.

If you long for peace and comfort for your soul, always, then come into the shelter of the True Guru.

The invitation to peace is open-armed and meant for everyone.
The deeper layer

The Guru calls out with arms raised, and the True Guru's shelter is open to everyone who longs for peace.

Santahu sunhu sunhu jan bhaa-ee: listen, saints, listen, brothers and sisters. Gur kaadhee baah kukeejai: the Guru raises his arms and calls, an open and urgent welcome. Jay aatam ka-o sukh sukh nit lorhahu: if you long for lasting peace for your soul. Taan satgur saran paveejai: then enter the True Guru's shelter.
