In plain words

The way you run all of existence — the Hukam, the flow of how things truly work — is true and right, and the heart turned toward the teaching comes to know it. Through that teaching, the ego is cleared away and the truth becomes real.

Your court is the true one, and the Word reveals it. Sitting deeply with that Word, I melted into the truth itself. But a heart turned only on itself stays false, fogged by doubt — living, you might say, in the muck, never once tasting the sweetness of the Name. Without that Name, it just keeps circling, coming and going. And in the end, it is the One itself that tells the real from the fake.

The flow of how existence works is true and trustworthy — and the soul that stops fighting it and sinks into the Word doesn't just learn the truth but merges into it.
The deeper layer

This Pauree gathers the litany's vision into a teaching about Hukam — the flow of how existence actually operates. True is the Hukam of Your Command. To the Gurmukh, it is known. After seven shaloks showing that everything passes and only the One remains, the Pauree says: the underlying order by which all this comes and goes is true, right, trustworthy — and the soul turned toward the teaching comes to know it, to recognize the rightness of the flow rather than fighting it. And knowing it transforms: through the Guru's Teachings, selfishness and conceit are eradicated, and the Truth is realized.

The Pauree gives a luminous first-person report of what this knowing feels like: meditating deeply on the True Word of the Shabad, I have merged into the Truth. Not learned about the truth, not believed the truth — merged into it. This is the destination the whole Vaar keeps pointing toward: the soul dissolving into the very reality it sought, like the drop into the ocean.

And against this, the sharp contrast of the manmukh: always false, deluded by doubt, they dwell in manure, and they do not know the taste of the Name. The image of dwelling in manure — bistaa — is one Guru Amar Das uses too: the soul lost in ego lives surrounded by filth and, worse, cannot taste anything better, having never known the sweetness (har ras) of the Name. Without that taste, life is just the endless circling of coming and going. The Pauree closes by returning to the coin-metaphor that frames this whole stretch: the Lord Himself is the Appraiser, who distinguishes the counterfeit from the genuine. The same Hukam that runs the cosmos also, with perfect discernment, knows the true soul from the false — and the Gurmukh, merged into Truth, has nothing to fear from the assay.

A Question to Sit With

Where are you fighting 'the flow of how things work' — and what might it be like to trust its rightness and stop struggling?
