Slave Nanak offers ths prayer; O Lord, let my consciousness be attached to the True Name. ||16||2||16||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Only the One who made the path knows the way along it.
The heart blessed with the Word comes to see it. Nanak says, my one prayer is simply this: let me stay tuned to the True Name.
Only the One who made the path knows the way; let me stay tuned to it.
The closing signature: the Maker alone knows the way, and Nanak's prayer is for a consciousness fixed on the True Name as the Solha ends.
