kartaa karay so nihcha-o hovai.
Whatever the Creator does, surely comes to pass.

gur kai sabday ha-umai khovai.
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, egotism is consumed.
gur parsaadee kisai day vadi-aa-ee naamo naam Dhi-aa-idaa. ||5||
By Guru's Grace, some are blessed with glorious greatness; they meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||5||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

The Guru's Word quietly burns away the loud ego, and by the Guru's grace a heart is lifted and given the Naam to hold.
The Guru's Word quietly burns away the loud ego.
Trust in divine doing. The Guru's Word consumes ego, and greatness is grace-given, expressed as remembrance of the Name.
