The jewel of spiritual wisdom ever illumines the heart, and the darkness of spiritual ignorance is dispelled. ||12||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
A light switches on inside me through the Guru. The treasure of the Naam comes to live in my mind.
Like a glowing jewel, understanding lights up my heart, and the darkness of not-knowing simply melts away.
Understanding is a light; when it comes, the dark simply leaves.
Pargaas is inner illumination. The jewel of gian (wisdom) lights the heart, and agian (ignorance) is treated not as sin but as darkness that lifts when the light comes.
