The True Wealth

so Dhanvantaa jin parabh Dhi-aa-i-aa.
He alone is wealthy, who meditates on God.
so pativantaa jin saaDhsang paa-i-aa.
He alone is honorable, who joins the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
paarbarahm jaa kai man voothaa so poor karammaa naa chhinaa. ||11||
That person, within whose mind the Supreme Lord God abides, has perfect karma, and becomes famous. ||11||

In plain words

The rich one is the person who keeps the One in mind.

The honoured one is the person who joins the Sangat.

When the Highest One lives in your mind, your good fortune is full, and your name is known far and wide.

Wealth is keeping the One in mind; honour is joining the Sangat.
The deeper layer

Wealth is remembering the One; honour is the saadh sangat. The one in whose mind the One dwells has full grace, and that person's good name spreads. Wealth and honour are measured from the inside.

The saadh sangat is the Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One.

A Question to Sit With

What is a kind of rich that has nothing to do with money?
