Verse 14 of 15

Pulled Up, Made Whole

anDh koop tay say-ee kaadhay.
He lifts us up and pulls us out of the deep dark pit;
janam janam kay tootay gaaNdhay.
He unites with Himself, those who were separated for so many incarnations.
kirpaa Dhaar rakhay kar apunay mil saaDhoo gobind Dhi-aavanaa. ||14||
Showering them with His Mercy, He protects them with His own hands. Meeting with the Holy Saints, they meditate on the Lord of the Universe. ||14||

In plain words

The One reaches into the deep, dark places and lifts people out.

It rejoins what has felt broken and scattered for the longest time.

Pouring out kindness, it keeps its own safe as its very own, and meeting the holy people, they remember the One.

What feels broken and scattered can still be gathered and made whole.
The deeper layer

'AnDh koop tay kaadhay' (lifted from the dark well) and 'tootay gaandhay' (the broken re-joined) are pure rescue and repair: what was separated for lifetime after lifetime is joined again, and the rescued ones meet the holy people and remember the Lord of the world.

A Question to Sit With

What is something once broken in your life that later mended?
