No More Wandering Door to Door

ਰਾਮੁ ਜਿਹ ਪਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
raam jih paa-i-aa raam.
One who has found the Lord,
ਤੇ ਭਵਹਿ ਨ ਬਾਰੈ ਬਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tay bhaveh na baarai baar. ||1|| rahaa-o.
does not wander from door to door. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Whoever has found the One, the One,

no longer wanders from door to door.

Find the One within, and the endless searching outside comes to rest.
The deeper layer

The Rahau line: 'raam jih paa-i-aa... tay bhaveh na baarai baar' — whoever finds the One no longer wanders from door to door. The restless going-out to be filled ends when the fullness is found inside.

A Question to Sit With

What are some ways people 'wander door to door' looking for something only they can give themselves?
