There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.
O Love, who else could ever do what You do?
You care for the poor. You are the Keeper of the whole world. And You have put a canopy of honor over my head, the kind held over kings.
The One lifts the poor and forgotten and crowns them with honor.
'Gareeb nivaaj' means the One who cherishes the poor. The canopy (chhatar) was held over a king's head; here it rests over the head of one the world overlooked. Grace is received, never earned by rank.
A Question to Sit With
Who around you gets overlooked — and how could you lift them today?
