ਜਾ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਸਗਲ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥
jaa kai vas hai sagal sansaar.
The entire universe is under His control.
ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ॥
aapay aap aap nirankaar.
He Himself, the Formless Lord, is Himself by Himself.
ਨਾਨਕ ਗਹਿਓ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੋਇ ॥
naanak gahi-o saachaa so-ay.
Nanak holds tight to that True Lord.
ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥੯॥
sukh paa-i-aa fir dookh na ho-ay. ||2||9||
He has found peace, and shall never suffer pain again. ||2||9||

The whole world rests in His care; the formless One is complete in Himself.
Nanak says, holding tight to that true One, I have found a peace that will not turn back into pain.
Some peace, once found, does not slip back into pain.
The whole world rests in His care and the formless One (nirankaar) is complete in Himself; holding tight to the true One brings a peace that does not slip back into pain. Nanak's signature closes it.
