When You come to mind, Lord, then I obtain perfect honor. Forgetting You, I roll in the dust. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

My True Guru keeps my honor safe.

When You come to mind, my honor is whole. When I forget You, I am scattered like dust.

Remembering keeps you whole; forgetting scatters you.
The deeper layer

Honor (pat) is kept by the Guru. Remembering brings wholeness; forgetting leaves you small and scattered, like dust in the wind.

A Question to Sit With

What helps you feel whole and steady?
