In the body-village is my Lord and Master, whose body is ever-new, Innocent and child-like, incomparably playful.

He is neither a woman, nor a man, nor a bird; the True Lord is so wise and beautiful.

Whatever pleases Him, happens; You are the lamp, and You are the incense. ||7||

Right inside me, in the little village of my own body, lives the One: ever fresh, playful as a child, full of wonder.
This One is not a man or a woman or any single shape, beyond all of that, wise and beautiful. Whatever the One wills unfolds, and that same One is both the lamp and the sweet fragrance that fills the room.
The One lives within you, beyond every shape, playful and bright.
Nagree naa-ik is the One dwelling in the body-village. Naar na purakh, neither woman nor man, names the One as beyond gender. Tu deepak tu dhoop: the One is both the light and the fragrance, present in all.
A Question to Sit With
What does it feel like to imagine the wonder living right inside you?
