Gifts That Never Run Short

jin kee laykhai pat pavai say pooray bhaa-ee.
They alone are perfect, O Siblings of Destiny, whose honor is certified.
pooray pooree mat hai sachee vadi-aa-ee.
Perfect is the intellect of the Perfect Lord. True is His glorious greatness.
His gifts never run short, although those who receive may grow weary of receiving. ||5||

In plain words

Those whose hearts ring true are whole and complete; nothing is missing in them.

The One's understanding is perfect, and the One's kindness never fails. The gifts keep flowing so freely that we might tire of receiving before the Giver ever tires of giving.

The Giver never runs short; we tire of receiving first.
The deeper layer

The Giver never runs out, even when we get tired of receiving.

Jin kee laykhai pat pavai say pooray bhaa-ee — those whose honor is accepted are whole and complete, dear friends. Pooray pooree mat hai — the Perfect One has perfect understanding and true greatness.

Dayday tot na aavee lai lai thak paa-ee — giving and giving, the One never runs short. Receiving and receiving, we get tired first. Think of a birthday where the gifts keep coming until your arms are too full. The Giver still has more.

A Question to Sit With

Can you think of a kindness that just keeps giving?
