Those who serve You, become just like You; O Fearless Lord, You are their best friend from infancy. ||4||

When the Guru helps me understand, the whole wide world begins to make sense.
I quiet my wanting and gently work with my own mind, and that takes the most courage of all.
Those who serve You grow to be like You, and You, without any fear at all, have been my friend since I was tiny.
The bravest fight is the quiet one to steady my own mind.
Maaroo's inner battle sounds here: the struggle is with one's own mind. The tender phrase baal sakhaaee (friend from infancy) shows the One as a lifelong companion, and those who serve grow to resemble the One they love.
A Question to Sit With
What is a feeling inside you that takes bravery to handle gently?
