By Guru's Grace, you shall find your Husband Lord within your own home; then, O Nanak, the fire within you shall be quenched. ||8||1||

In plain words

When you meet the Giver of peace, the Lord of the World, the One sets all your affairs right.

By the Guru's grace, you find your Beloved inside your own home. Nanak says: then the fire inside you is put out.

The longing that burned you is the same longing that, answered, cools you like rain.
The deeper layer

Find the Beloved inside your own home, and the fire of missing cools at last.

Apnaa kaaj savaarahu aapay sukh-daatay gosaa-ee — the Lord of the world, the Giver of peace, sorts out our tasks Himself. We do not have to force it.

Ghar hee pir paa-i-aa — by the Guru's grace, the beloved is found inside your own home. That home is the heart. The reunion happens right there, not somewhere far away.

Ta-o naanak tapat bujhaa-ee — then, Nanak says, the fire inside is put out. That fire is the ache of being apart and of always wanting more. Finding the Naam cools it, like the first monsoon rain on hot, dry ground.

A Question to Sit With

What worry might settle on its own if you stopped fighting it and rested?
